What is IIM?
The Indian Institutes of Management
(IIMs) are centrally funded business schools for the business sector offering
masters, masters, doctoral and executive programs with some other courses in
business management.
IIMs have been declared as nationally
important institutions by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD)[4]
under the Indian Institutes of Management Act, 2017. The Act gave IIMs greater
autonomy in their day-to-day operations Act changed the IIM governing body, the
IIM Council, to the IIM Communications Forum. IIMs were given greater autonomy
to decide their courses, fees, and other related matters.[5]According to the
